Sol was produced from 1912-1963. The sun-and-face trademark dates back to the early twentieth century.

 

Mulitcoloured polka dot trio
With purple hollow-ware; also seen with multi-coloured sets in which each cup is a different, bright colour. Appears intermittently on the market. I would guess that this piece is late fifties or early sixties. Value: £5


Studio polka dot cream jug and sugar bowl
Burgundy background and large white spots. Probably late 1950s. No damage or crazing except for a flake from the underside of the spout. Value: £5-10 (pair).
