Stoneware Shape designed c. 1979 by Robin Welch.
At this time, the factory was owned by Wedgwood. The hopsack
pattern (below) was designed by Eve Midwinter (c. 1979).
Hopsack
tableware This wonderful range has a simple body shape, and
an even simpler sacking effect (see detail, right). Backstamp includes
the words dishwahwer safe, and Midwinter member of the Wedgwood Group.
Note: the gravy boat (bottom left) carries the same backstamp, but does
not have the impressed sacking pattern. Value: £2-3
(per piece)
