Untitled Document

Coverage of English, factory-produced retro ceramics in the accessible literature is rather patchy. Some factories (e.g. Hornsea and Midwinter) are represented by magnificent and detailed reference works; others (e.g. Arthur Wood) are barely covered at all. The otherwise excellent books on Carlton Ware and Beswick (below) give little coverage of retro items, but are useful sources of general information on the factory. Books especially useful for the English retro collector are rated with a star (*). I have added links to the relevant pages on the internet bookseller amazon. Amazon.co.uk is for sterling (£) customers, amazon.com is for US$.

It has interesting adverts and, sometimes, some interesting articles on glass and ceramics. But ceramics are not the main emphasis because the magazine covers everything from street lights to telephone exchanges.
