Tulip-shaped peanut set in pastel colours Theme: Huizen, Driehoek C. mid fifties - early sixties. This one is rare because it has both its original label and spoon. None of the pieces is backstamped. For an explanation of peanut sets, see Gouda. Value: £ 10-25 |

Yellow tea or coffee pot Theme: Huizen, Driehoek Pastel shades were all the rage in The Netherlands in the mid fifties to early sixties (for other examples, see the pages here on Gouda, Goedewaagen and Maastricht). This one, unlike the matt-glazed Gouda Flora pieces, has a satin sheen to the glaze. This pot is sometimes seen with a matching cylindrical collar-piece which sat in place of the lid and functioned as a strainer - presumably for coffee, but I'm not sure. With some grey crazing lines around the mouth, and a rough area on the tip of the spout. Value: £ 5-10 |
