Imitating a Hornsea original of 1957-1958 (mould number 520), many factories produced black hand variants. The Hornsea version also came in white, and was sold through Boots the chemist. Those shown here are NOT Hornsea. See also a black hand holding a globe, a black hand holding a purple ceramic fan, a black hand marked Fosters Pottery England, and a large black hand for wall-mounting, with long, elegant fingers (marked Foreign 4192). SylvaC also made a black hand vase (no 697). Capidomonte made black hands with modelled flowers in the centre.
